“If you throw a rock in Brooklyn, you’ll hit a filmmaker.”
These are too fun. Working with Reverse Shot and BAMcinématek to produce these great little videos bringing BAMcinemaFest 2012 filmmakers together.
As part of BAMcinemaFest 2012 we brought filmmakers together to have a little fun. Check this one out with Mike Birbiglia.
Produced by BAM and Reverse Shot.
BAMcinemaFest showcases emerging voices in American independent cinema with NY and North American premieres of films from Cannes, Sundance, Toronto, SXSW, Berlin, and beyond. Opens June 20 with Mike Birbiglia’s “Sleepwalk With Me,” with special appearances by Birbiglia and co-writer Ira Glass of “This American Life” in the BAM Howard Gilman Opera House.
This animation was used online to promote the festival and also as a trailer before every screening in the festival. A companion series of filmmaker interviews and screen swash were also used to brand the festival.
Unlike prior years, we created the trailer animation first and let the art direction inform the print materials and other marketing efforts, including a large-scale lobby design for opening night. Get out your glue and paper scraps!
Check out some of the interesting process used by the talented duo of Eve Weinberg and Erik Jensen.
